The Codes Enforcement Board of the City of Lotigwood, Florida met at 7:30 p.m.

1. Mr. Wallsh called the meeting to order.
2. The secretary called the roll and all members and alternates were present.
3. Minutes of Previous Meeting November 17, 1981. Nation by Mr. Mitchell, seconded
by Mr. Pavone that reading of minutes be dispensed With. 'btian carried by voice
vote. Motion by Mr. Mitchell, seconded by Mr. Pavone that minutes of 11/17/81
be approved as submitted,
4. There were no public hearings scheduled and no unf business.
5. Presentation of Filed Affidavits. The Secretary stated that he had
one affidavit to present to the Board and that each member had a copy.
Case No. 7 in case of Warren C. and Nancy L. Drummond, P.O. Box 502, LorWwod,
Florida ( 717 E, Church Street, IDngwood, Florida) . The affidavit was filed
by Frank Taylor, Sgt, Longwood Police Department who was unable to be present
this ev ening rg due to illness. The Board secretary read the affidavit which
stated that Mr. and Yxs . Drummond were in violation of Ord. 252 and Ord. 206
with a date of violation being October 31, 1981, The secretary stated that
the violation still existed on December 15, 1981. Mr. Rooks stated that the
board did not have jurisdiction over the portion of the violation citing weeds
and trash and he sugg ested that affidavit be amended to correct 206 to read 207
which the board does have jurisdiction over .
6. Motion by Nor . Pavone, seconded by Mr. Mitchell that affidavit be corrected
to read ordinance No. 207 instead of 206. Notion carried by a us roll
call vote, 5--0.
7. Mr. Wallsh asked if Mr. Drummand had been notified of the offense and the
secretary stated that Incident Report, Case No. 81304003703 filed states
that on October 31, 1981 Sgt. Taylor issued Mr. Drummond a written warning
about the vehicle and trash. The report also states that an November 20, 1981
the violations still existed except that trash had been removed from the
ins ide the truck.
8 . The board held a brief discussion of the affidavit and incident
report and inspected the photographs of the alleged violation.
9, Motion by Mr. Mitchell, seconded by Mr. Pavone that the board find
that probable cause does exist that Mr. and Mrs. Drummond are in violation
of ordinances 252 and 207. Motion carried by a unanimous roll call vote
of 5 -0.
10. Mr. Thomas sugg ested that the Police Department be provided a copy
of all ordinances for their officers,
11. Nera Business. Mr. Wallsh sug that the rules for the Codes
Enforcement Board be amended to permit the secretary to sign letters of
summons since he was not always a%railable to sign the letters.
12. Motion by Mr. Mitchell, seconded by Wall sh that Board Secretary be
authorized to sign sunmns in the absence of the Chairman. lotion was
approved by voice vote.
13. Mr. Thomas asked if it would be legal for Mr. Terry to sign the letter
and Mr. Rooks said he believed it would.
14. The next meeting was scheduled for January 26, 1982 at 7:30 p.m.
Mr. Thomas said he would be out of town and Mr. Farrell said he would
have to disqualify himself due to prior knowledge.
15. The meeting adjourned at 7:50 p . m.
