The Codes Enforcement Board of the City of Longwood, Florida
met at 7 :30 p.m.
Present: William Mitchell
Virgil Pavone

1. Tyr. Wallsh called the meeting to order. Pledge of allegiance
to United States Flag,
2. The Secretary called the roll. All members were present except
Mrs. Zike and Mr. Farrell who were unable to attend. Mr. Wallsh
stated that Mrs, tike and Mr. Farrell would be credited with an
excused absence .
3. Minutes of 5- 25 --82. Motion by Mr. Mitchell, seconded by
Mr. Pavone that minutes of 5 -25 -82 be approved as submitted.
4. Public Hearings -
Case No. 8 - In case of Gerald F. Wright, H, Hanne lore , Linda
Lee Ivey and Fred Petterson charged with violation of ordinance
No. 495 - Parking a wrecker in a residential area for more than
one hour in 24 hour period. Mr. Wallsh stated that he had received
an affidavit of compliance from Larry Grose, Codes Enforcement
Officer, stating that persons were now in compliance with City
Ordinance, Mr. Wallsh stated Case No. 8 was dismissed.
Case No. to - In case of Leslie and Sharon Bennett and Mr.
and Mrs. Dan Barker charged with violation of ordinance No. 495 -
Parking a wrecker in a residential area for more than 1 hour in
24 hour period. Mr. Wallsh stated that he had received an affidavit
of compliance from Larry Grose ■ Codes Enforcement Officer, stating
that persons were now in compliance with City ordinance. State-
ment also received from Mr. Dan Barker saying he would comply in
the future. Mr. Wallsh stated Case No. to was dismissed.
Mr. Wallsh stated that Public Hearings were concluded.

6. Presentations of Filed Affidavits of Violations.
Mr. Wallsh announced that Mr. Rooks may be prosecutor if cases
come before the board so he is abstaining from advising - board.
Case No. 11 - Na z z areno Perlini - 950 N . Highway 17-92 -
Violation of ordinance No. 207 on June 16, 1982. Mr. Grose
stated that 7 days had been given to correct problem. Violator
was contacted and issued warning to clean the property up and
remove pile of debris by June 21, 1982* It appears that no attempt
to comply has been made by violator and property is as of this
date in violation. Mr. Wallsh asked for a roll call vote on the
issue of probable cause. Secretary call the roll, the board found
probable cause exists by a unanimous vote. Mr. Wallsh asked
secretary to notify personnel.
Case No. 12 - Karen Dukes and James Pilgrim - 103 Take Gem
Drive - Violation of ordinances No. 207 and No. 252 on June 8, 1982.
Issued violation warning in reference to trash and auto parts, tires,
and a bus parked in the yard. Mr. Grose presented photographs to
the board and stated that bus is to be used as a recreation vehicle.
The bus has a valid tag, it is a 20 day temporary tag. Mr, Pilgrim
owns a car dealership and keeps replacing it every 20 days. Mr.
Wallsh asked Mr. Grose to check to see if this procedure is legal.
Mr. Wallsh asked for a roll call vote on the issue of probable cause.
Secretary call the roll, the board found probable cause exists by
a unanimous vote. Mr. Wallsh announced that parties were to be
notified.
Case No. 13 - Stanley and Kathrine Newton - 620 East Church
Street - Violation of ordinance No. 207 on May 5, 1982. Issued
violation warning advising to clean up the property and to have the
vehicle parked in the front yard put into operative condition or be
removed from the property. The property has very high weeds and the
carport is full of parts, tires, etc. Violation was to be corrected
by May 10, 1982 but as of June 22, 1982 the property is still in
violation. Mr. Grose presented photographs of the problem and
stated that Mr. Newton was warned several times and had also received
warnings from the Health Department and Police Department. Mr. Wallsh
asked for a roll call vote on the issue of probable cause. Secretary
call the roll, the board found probable cause exists by a unanimous
vote. Mr, Wallsh asked secretary to notify persons,
7. New Business - Mr. Wallsh stated that members of board has permission
to check with other Codes Enforcement Boards on how their meetings
are conducted. Mr Pavone was asked to check with the other boards.
8. The next meeting of the Codes Enforcement Board was scheduled
for July 20, 1982 at 7:30 p.m.
9. Motion to adjourn by Mr. Mitchell, seconded by Mr. Pavone . Motion
carried by a voice vote. The codes Enf- grcement Board adjourned at
