Xongfnnob, �IjDr'lba 327511 (�rl. 831 -II55� Aft SINCE 1883 r ' August 24, 1982 The Codes Enforcement Board of the City of Longwood, Florida. met at 7:30 p.m. Present: William Mitchell Virgil Pavane Arthur Carullo Richard Wallsh Raymond Downen Charles Kennedy Donald Terry, Secretary Absent: Linda Zike Marvin Rooks, City Attorney 1. Mr. Wallsh called the meeting to order. Pledge of allegiance to the United States Flag. 2. The Secretary called the roll. All members were present except Linda Zike and the City Attorney was unable to attend clue to conflicting schedules. 3. Minutes of 6/22/82. Mot ion by Mr. Mitchell, seconded by Mr. Pavone that minutes of 6/22/82 be approved as submitted. Motion carried by voice vote,, 4. Mr. Wallsh stated that Mr Burbon H. Ferrell had submitted a letter of resignation stating that he was unable to continue serving on the board due to the uncertainty of his schedule, ration by Mr. Wallsh, seconded by Mr. Pavane recomnezding that City Cam ission prepare a certificate of appreciation for Mr. Farrell. Motion carried by voice vote. Mr. Charles Kennedy, appointed by the Commission as a replacement for Mr. Farrell was present and was sworn in by the Secretary. 5. Mr. Wallsh stated that there were no public hearings scheduled for this . evening, 6, Unf ini shed Business: Officer Larry Grose presented Affidavits of Compliance in case of Nazzareno Perlin, Case No. 11; James A. Pilgrim, Case No. 12 and Stanley and Kathrine Newton, Case No. 13. Mr Wallsh stated that when Certificates of Compliance are submitted, the cases are closed. 7. P resentations of Filed Affidavits The Secretary presented an Affidavit of Violation in the case of Dominick F. Sass for violation of ordinance No. 207. off icer Larry Grose briefed the Board on the case and presented photographs of the violat ion , off icer arose said he had also contacted the Seminole County Health Department and the State Attorney's Office regarding violations inside the home but which did not come under the authority of the Board. Mr. Arthur Carullo questioned the photographs, saying he had seen many areas that were worse than this one. After further discussion, Mr. Wallsh asked for a roll call an whether probable cause exists with a Yes being for probable cause and a No being opposed to a finding of probable cause.
