The Codes Enforcement Board of the City of Longwood, Florida met at 7:30 p.m.
Present: William Mitchell
Virgil Pavone
Richard Wallsh
Raymond Downen
B. H. Farrell
Donald Terry, Board Secretary
Absent: Bob Thomas
Marvin Rooks, City Attorney
1. Mr. Wallsh called the meeting to order.
2. The secretary called the roll. All members present except for Mr. Bob Thomas.
The Board pledged allegiance to the United States Flag.
3. Approval of Minutes - December 15, 1981. Motion by Mr. Mitchell., seconded by
Mr. Pavone that minutes of December 15, 1981 be accepted as submitted.
4. Public Hearings - none scheduled.
5. Unfinished Business:'. Mr. Wallsh read a memorandum from Mr. David Chacey to
the Codes Enforcement Board certifying that the property of Warren and Nancy Drummond
at 717 E. Church Street, Longwood, Florida had been cleaned up and recommending that
the Codes Enforcement Board meeting scheduled for January 26, 1982 be cancelled.
Mr. Wallsh said this memorandum was the reason the previous meeting was cancelled.
6. There were no affidavits of violations to submit.
7. New business:
Mr. B. H. Farrell questioned the procedure to be followed if a Codes Enforcement
Board member observes a violation.. Mr. Wallsh stated that they could make a report
of the violation to City officials the same as any other citizen but should refrain
from participating in a hearing on that case.
Mr. Wallsh announced that the next meeting would be held on March 23, 1982 at
7:30 p.m. if there was a requirement. If there are no requirements, the next meeting
will be held on April 27, 1982 at 7:30 p.m. Members will be notified by the Secretary.
8. There was no further business and the board adjourned at 7:35 p.m.
