Pavone Al Cook, Asst. City Attorney Mary Triplett, Secretary Absent: Walter Fleck Arthur Carullo 1. The Codes Enforcement Board was called to order by Chairman Pavone followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the United States flag. The secretary called the roll and all members were present except Mr. Fleck and Mr. carullo. Mr. Fleck had previously notified the secretary that he would be out of town until after the end of the month. Mr. Carullo's wife notified chairman Pavone that Mr, carullo would be out of town. 2. Approval of Minutes - 5/17/83. The reading of the minutes was dis- pensed with, motion by Mr. Taddeo, seconded by Mr. Myers that minutes be approved as submitted. Motion carried by a unanimous voice vote. 3. Public Hearing. Continuation of Case No, 18, James V. and Lucille P. Farmer (Thomas Mulligan - minor) , 106 Bearss Circle, Longwood, Florida. Violation of City of Longwood Code, chapter 11, Noise, Sec. 11 -1, 11 -2 (2 ) and Chapter 12, Nuisances, Sec. 12-1(6), 12 -2 (5) , of f icer Rossi explained that the violation was excessively loud playing of drums and Mr. Farmer was insulating his garage to correct the violation. officer Rossi stated that he had received a letter from Mr. Farmer stating that he was waiting for a window to complete the insulating of the room. Officer Rossi recommended that the board give Mr. Farmer an additional ten days to complete the room and that Thomas Mulligan not play his drums until the room is insulated. Officer Rossi stated that Lt. Baker will accompany him to check for compliance when the room is completed. Mr. Kennedy was not permitted to vote due to his absence at the previous public hearing. Motion by Mr. Myers, seconded by Mr Ritter that the board follow officer R ossi' 's recommendation. Motion carried by a unanimous Voice vote. Mr, Cook recommended the board set a public hearing date. Mr. Myers withdrew his motion and Mr. Ritter withdrew his second. Motion by Mr. Myers, seconded by Mr. Ritter to extend public hearing to June 14, 1983. Motion carried by a unanimous voice vote. Codes Enforcement Bo; Meeting - May 31, 1983 4, Unfinished Business. None. 5. Presentation of filed affidavits of violations, Case No. 19- Danny Fuller (tenant) , 1278 CR 427, Longwood, Florida and Eula M. Scott (owner ) . Violation of City of Longwood Code, Chapter 22, Traffic and Motor Vehicles, Sec. 22 -28 and Chapter 12, Nuisances, Sec. 12 -2 (2) , 12 -2 (3) . Of f icer Rossi stated that violation still existed at this time and read the Affidavit of Violation. officer Rossi stated that Mr. Fuller had received several citations and disregarded the warnings. Chairman Pavone asked to see copies of the citations. officer Rossi submitted photographs of the property. The board reviewed the citations and the photographs. Chairman Pavone called a recess for ten minutes at Mr. cook's request. Mr. Gook stated that he wanted to examine the current city ordinance and the current Florida State Statue concerning the fact that the violator was not the owner of the property. He wanted to advise the board that if they find probable cause, the exact owners of the land be notified. Motion by Mr. Kennedy, seconded by Mr. Taddeo to find probable cause and set a public hearing for June 14, 1983. Motion carried by a unanimous Voice vote. 0. New Business. None. 7, Adjournment.
