The Codes Enforcement Board of the City of Longwood, Florida met at
7:30 P.M.
Present: Anthony Taddeo
Harold Myers
Charles Kennedy
Walter Fleck
Arthur Carullo, Chairman
Ike Cook, Attorney
Mary Triplett, Secretary
Absent: Fred Ritter
Verma Martin
1. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Carullo followed by
the Pledge of Allegiance to the United States flag. The secretary
called the roll and all members were present except Mr. Ritter and
Mrs. Martin. Mr. Ritter notified the secretary that he would be out
of town and unable to attend the meeting. Mrs. Martin notified Mayor
Lormann that due to a family illness, she would be unable to attend
the meeting.
2. Approval of Minutes - 11/8/83. The secretary read the minutes of
November 8, 1983. Motion by Mr. Myers, seconded by Mr. Taddeo that
minutes be approved as read. Motion carried by a voice vote.
3. Public Hearing.
Case No. 27- Ronald A. Brown, 743 Seminole Avenue, Longwood, FL.
Violation of Appendix A, Section 618 .6B ( 1) , 618.6B ( 2) , Chapter 22,
Sections 22 -26 and 22 -28. Ronald Brown stated that he had received
notification to appear but did not know why. Motion by Mr. Myers,
seconded by Mr. Kennedy to dismiss charges due to the fact that
Officer Rossi was not present. Motion carried by a unanimous roll
call vote.
4. Unfinished Business. None.
5. Presentation of Filed Affidavits of Violations.
Case No. 1001 -83- Virgil J. Pavone, 860 Lyns Dr., Longwood, FL.
Violator had performed his duties as member and later Chairman of
the Codes Enforcement Board in a particularly outstanding manner,
thereby bringing credit to himself and the Codes Enforcement Board.
Chairman Carullo presented Mr. Pavone a plaque from the board,,-members
in appreciation for his service to the Codes Enforcement Board. Mr.
Pavone stated that he was happy to serve. Mayor Lormann stated that
she was real proud to have him serve and hoped he could serve again.

6. New Business.
Chairman Carullo introduced Ike Cool, the attorney. Mr. Cool stated
that he was f illing in for Mr. Willard who was unable to attend due
to illness. Chairman Carullo asked if it was appropriate for the
attorney to draft a letter to the Chief of Police. Mr. Cool stated
that it was appropriate. Chairman Carullo asked Mr. Cool to draft
a letter to the Chief of Police regarding officer Rossi being absent
at the meeting.
7. Adjournment. Motion by Mr. Kennedy, seconded by Mr. Fleck to
adjourn. Motion carried by a voice vote. Meeting adjourned at 7:45
P.M.
