Present; Walter Fleck Buford Helms Verma Martin Fred Pearl Fred Ritter Anthony Taddeo Charles Kennedy, Chairman Mary Triplett, Secretary 1. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Kennedy followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the United States flag. The secretary called the roll and all members were present. 2. Approval of Minutes - 8/7/84. Motion by Mr. Fleck, seconded by Mrs. Martin to approve minutes of August 7, 1984 as submitted. Motion carried by a unanimous roll call vote. 3. Public Hearings. None Scheduled. 4. Unfinished Business. None. 5. Presentation of Filed Affidavits of Violations. None. 6. New Business. Annual organizational meeting and election of chairperson and vice chairperson. Chairman Kennedy stated that he would decline any nomination. Motion by Mr. Taddeo, seconded by Mrs. Martin to nominate Mr. Fleck for Chairman. There were no other nominations for chairman. Motion carried by a unanimous roll call vote. Motion by Mr. Helms, seconded by Dr. Pearl to nominate Mrs. Martin for Vice Chairperson. Motion by Mr. Kennedy, seconded by Mrs. Martin to nominate Mr. Taddeo for Vice Chairperson. A roll call vote was taken, Mr. Helms, Mr. Fleck, Dr. Pearl, Mr. Ritter voted for Mrs. Martin. Mrs. Martin declined to vote. Mr. Taddeo, Mr. Kennedy, Mrs. Martin voted for Mr. Taddeo. Mrs. Martin was elected Vice Chairperson by a majority vote. Chairman Kennedy recommended that the City Code be changed to the state code, he read Section 162.07 of the Florida Statutes, "(1) The Chairman of the enforcement board may call hearings of the enforcement board; hearings also may be called by written notice signed by at least three members of the enforcement board. At any hearing, the enforcement board may set a future hearing date. The enforcement board shall attempt to convene no less frequently than once every two months, but it may meet more or less often as the demand necessitates."... Motion by Dr. Pearl to adopt the state regulations for the Codes Enforcement Board and recommend to our City Com- mission.
