CEB_04-08-86_MinApril 8, 1986 The codes Enforcement Board of the City of Longwood, Florida met at 7:30 P.M. Present: Maureen Sikora, Chairwoman Charles Heffner Norman Jacobs Ve rma Martin Fred Ritter Paul Cougelman Attorney Mary Triplett, Secretary Absent: Donald Faulkner Lewis Warren 1. The meeting was called to order by chairwoman Sikora. The secretary called the roll and all members were present except Mr, Faulkner and Mr. Warren. Mr, Faulkner had called the secretary to remind her that he had informed the board of a prior engagement that he had to attend on the second Tuesday of every month. Mr. Warren had called the secretary and said that he was unable to attend the meeting because he had to work . 2, Approval of Minutes -- 1/28/86. Motion by Mrs. Martin, seconded by Mr. Heffner to approve minutes of January 28, 1986 as submitted. Motion carried by a voice vote. 3. Reports. None. 4, Public Hearings. a. Initial Hearings. None. b. Final Hearing s Case No, 45, Warren C. Drummond, Jr . , 717 East Church Avenue, Longwood, FL 32750, Violat ion of City Code, Chapter 22, Section 22-28. Affidavit of Compliance filed on March 27, 1986. Secretary read case number, name of respondent and address of property where violations existed. Officer Rossi stated the property was the cleanest that he had ever seen it. Chairwoman Sikora asked that date the property was in compliance? Officer Rossi replied that it was the end of February or March. Officer Rossi recommended to the board that the fine against Mr. Drummond be suspended and the case be tabled for six months. Officer Rossi stated that he would re- inspect the property periodically. Mr. Drummond stated that the date the property was in compliance was the Monday following the last meeting. Chairwoman Sikora stated that the board had achieved its goal and that the property was in compliance and that a fine is used as a enforcement tool . Motion by Mr, Heffner , seconded by Mrs. Martin that the fine be resinded after a period of six months if there are no violations filed against the property in that time.
