1. The meeting was called to order by Chairwoman Sikora. The
Secretary called the roll and all members were present except Mr.
Delaney and Mr, Jacobs. Chairwoman Sikora informed the Board
that notification was given by Mr. Delaney and Mr, Jacobs that
would not be able to attend the meeting.
2. Approval of Minutes - 12/04/86 Mr, Heffner said he would like
the date of 12/2/86 inserted in paragraph 1 after the time of
7:30 to reflect the date the meeting was held. Motion by Mrs.
McDowell, seconded by Mr. Heffner to approve the minutes of
12/04/85 as amended. Motion carried by a voice vote.
3. Reports.

The Secretary stated that the following cases were in
compliance with the City Code before the Hearing was convened:

The representative of century Trading Company was not present in
the Chambers. The Code Inspector, Peter Butt, stated his
qualifications and was sworn under oath, Mr, Butt stated the
violation and presented the case. He stated that upon rein -
spection on November 20, 1985 the violation still existed. He
described the existing violation: outside storage of
miscellaneous building materials behind the building and a
semi - trailer in the parking area filled with merchandise and also
causing a parking problem for others, He stated that the
property owner, Mr. Richard Meagher, was sent a copy of the file
on January 13, 1987 and there has been no response. Mr. Butt
presented pictures to the Board. Mr. Heffner asked Mr. Butt
for the latest date of inspection. Mr. Butt replied that it was
reinspected on this date, 1/17/87, and was still in violation.
Mr. Butt presented the green return receipt card, for Notice of
Hearing to the Board.

and Zoning Ordinance 495, Sec. 520.20
Chairwoman Sikora stated that the Code Inspector remained under
oath. Mr. Robert Evans, representing Continental Glass, was
sworn under oath. Mr. Butt presented the case. He stated that a
reinspection was taken on November 20, 1987 and was still in
violation. He explained that a f ence had been installed in the
rear; that some of the items stored are visable from the road and
the storage of glass could be a safety hazard to children. Mr.
Butt presented pictures to the Board.
Mr, Heffner requested all pages related to the case be
identified as Case #86 -62.
Mr. Evans explained that he has moved the lumber and is cleaning
up the glass. He stated he will try to comply within a week.

Motion by Mr. Faulkner, seconded by Mr. Hef fner to give Mr .

fine of $25.00 per day, per violation beginning 2/11/87; Mr.
Evans is to notify Mr, Butt the day of compliance and request

3. CEB 87 -2, RAINBOW CONTINUOUS GUTTERING/

Zoning Ordinance 495, Sec 601.3D, 601.3 E, 502.2A
Chairwoman Sikora stated that Mr. Butt was still under oath. Mr.
LaMonthe representing Rainbow Guttering was sworn under oath. Mr.
Butt stated the violation and presented the case. Mr, Butt
stated that Mr, Lamonthe is in violation of not having a
required City license for the business operating out of his home
and of having products Disable from the road ► a trailer that
manufactures continuous guttering. Mr. Butt presented pictures
to the Board.
Mr. LaMonthe explained that his company was organized in 1983,
did not go into actual business until 1987. He said the machine
was brought to Florida 8/14/86 at which time he was making
arrangements for storage. He stated that he did conduct phone
service from his home and subcontracted work to other guttering
companies. He said the machine has been relocated and is not at
his home. He said the phones were also relocated to a new
location.
Mr. Butt stated he had not seen the trailer at Mr, LaMonthe' s
home in the last week and suggested that the case be tabled until
a reinspect ion is performed. Mrs. Corbin requested Mr. LaMonthe
present evidence that he had not operated a business out of his
home.
Motion by Mrs, McDowell, seconded by Mrs. Corbin to continue the
case until next meeting on February 24, 1987 at which time Mr.
Butt will update the Board of the status of the Lake Drive
property and also the S.R. 17 -92 property to verify the business
of Rainbow Guttering.
Motion carried by a roll call vote. Mr. Heffner and Mr, Faulkner
voted No.
B. Continued Cases;
1. CEB 86 -57, DUDLEY Fred and Estelle
638 N. Credo St., Longwood
Chairwoman Sikora reminded Mr, Butt that he remained under oath..
Mr. Butt reviewed the case. He stated that he has been in
O P11 ' contact with Diana Scott, of United Mortgage Company, who is now
handling the foreclosure and that a contract and partial payment
has been made to mow the property, The secretary informed the
Board that Century 21, in Orlando,

Motion by Mr. Heffner, seconded by Mr. Faulkner to continue case
until February 24, 1987; Mr. Butt and the Secretary would also
contact Century 21 for the status of the situation and report
back to the Board at that time, Motion carried by a unanimous
roll call vote.
5. old Business:
Mr. Heffner requested the date of compliance for Case #86-57 be
changed on the agenda from 12/4/8 to 12/4/87,
Discussion by Mr Heffner of Code Enforcement problems such as
a badge for the Code Inspector, transportation, and time spent
performing duties of Code Inspector, Mr. Heffner stated that
he was going to look into the matter.

Chairman Sikora stated that the next meeting will be held on
Tuesday, February 24, 1987.

Motion by Mr. Faulkner, seconded by Mr, Heffner to adjourn
meeting. Motion carried by unanimous voice vote. Meeting
adjourned at 8:51 P. M.
