1. The meeting was called to order at 7:32 p.m. by Chairwoman
Corbin. She introduced the Boards newly appointed members,
James Perry and Jeff Morton, and presented them with a
certificate from the City of Longwood f or serving on she Code
Enforcement Board.
2. The secretary called the roll and all members were present
except Ms. MacDowell who had called during the day stating she
was ill and would not be able to attend.
3. Approval of Minutes - Motion by Mr. Delaney seconded by
Ms. Sikora to approve the minutes of February 23, 1988.
Motion carried by a unanimous voice vote.
4. Reports - None
5. Public Hearing: CEB 88 -02 - Robert Glenn Horner;, d /b /a
B & G Air Conditioning Service, 472 E. Wildmere Avenue,
Longwood, Florida 32750. Violation of City Zoning Ordinance
495, Sections 600.1 601.3A 601,3B, 601.3D 601.3E 601.3K.
Mr. William Carpenter, Esq., Attorney for the Horner's, and
Mr. and Mrs. Horner attended the meeting.
Ms. Corbin submitted a Disclosure of State officer's
Interest due to a conflict of interest in this case. She
passed the gavel to Mr. Delaney. Ms. Price, Code Inspector,
was sworn in. She presented the City's case including pictures
that the City Attorney stated should be marked as "Exhibit A"
and other papers to be marked "Exhibit B The matter was
heard at length and the following order was issued. Motion
made by Ms. Sikora seconded by Mr. Perry that the Board find
that Mr. & Mrs. Horner doing business as B & C Air Conditioning
Service have been in violation of the Code Sections cited on
dates of January 6, 1988, January 7, 1988, January 8, 1988,
February 22, 1988 and March 8, 1988. She moved to order that
they keep the property in compliance with the Code Sections as
cited, that they be given a period of two weeks from today
(March 22, 1988 ) that the order will take effect and they keep
the property in compliance otherwise a fine of $100.00 per day

be imposed each time a violation is found at the property. She -
stated that she wanted to clarify that she was basing this on
the repeat violation section of the Florida Statutes Chapter
162 and that the violation does not have to be an on going one,
If the inspector goes out one day and not another day that a
separate violation would be imposed for each day the violation
is repeated. Motion approved by unanimous voice vote.
6. Unfinished Business -- CEB 87 -06 -- Betty Tromblay, Lot 1,
Haynes Subdivision, (434 East of Wags Restaurant), Chapter 12,
Section 12 -2, Zoning ordinance 495, Section 507.4A.
Ms. Price stated that the Tromblay's had come into
compliance on March lo, 1958. She showed the Board a picture
of the vacant lot where the trailer had previously been.

8. New Business other Than Public Hearings -- Ms. Corbin
complimented Ms. Price on the letter she had written to Mr.
Horner outlining in detail each violation he had been issued,
copy of which was included in each Board member's packet.
9. Ms. Corbin stated the next meeting would be held April 26,
1988, 44�
10. Motion by Mr. Perry, seconded by Ms. Sikora to adjourn the
meeting. Motion carried by a unanimou vo v te,
