1. Call Meeting to Order
The meeting was called to order at 8:00 P.M. by Chairman
Valkenburg.
2. Roll Call
The Secretary called the roll. There was a quorum.
3. Approval of Minutes October 24,1995
Corrected minutes as per Board's request on November 28,1995
4. Old Business
Ms. Goodblatt discussed Rules and Regulations and suggested
revisions. Ms. Goodblatt agreed to submitt a revised version
of the Rules and Regulations to be distributed and discussed
at the next Code Enforcement Board Meeting.
5. Public Hearings
A: CEB 95 -11 -95 Laura Magdor, Owner
Ms. Price presented the case. Owner of 797 Pasadena Avenue
has several permits that have expired. Several notices have
been sent and no response has been made by Ms. Magdor. Ms.
Price recommended that permits be applied for by 5:00 P.M.
on November 29,1995 and final inspection be done by December
1,1995. Failure to do so would result in a fine of $100 per
day, per violation.
Ms. Magdor replied that she has attempted to renew her
permit for her pool but Mr. Culbertson refused to issue the
permit because her pool is 4' in the ground. She said the
wood deck is not being worked on because she could not get
the pool permit renewed. She has spoken to Mr. Culbertson
several times over this matter. She stated that she has
responded to his letters but admitted that her permits have
expired.
After several questions of Ms. Magdor the Board closed the
hearing.
After discussion of the alleged violation, motion was made
by Mr. Difiore that Ms. Magdor apply for permit by 5: 00 P.M.
and request inspection by December 1,1995 or $100 per day
fine to be imposed if pool was not removed within B weeles.
Motion failed.
Motion made by Mr. Bundy, that Ms. Magdor be found in
violation of City Code Section 5 -19 and be required to apply
for permit within 3 days (December 1,1995) and if permit
was not applied for, a fine of $50 per day would be imposed
and the pool and decel:: were to be removed within 30 days.
Ms. Magdor is required to apply for an inspection after the
permits are issued. Mr. Tolos seconded this motion. Motion
passed by unanimous voice vote.
6. New Business
A: Mr. Tolos requested revised format for motions. Ms.
Soodblatt will provide.
B: Requested Board secretary to send out minutes no later
than two week.5 after each meeting.
7. Adjournment
No further discussion. Motion was made to adjourn by Mr.
Bundy, seconded by Mr. Tolos. Meeting was adjourned at 9:50
P.M,
