The Longwood Town Council met as the zoning board Friday, J une 26, at
8:00 P. M. in the Town Hall. The purpose'of this meetin was to consid r
the petetions of Mr. &•Mrs. John Reams Mr. & Mrs. Larry Jones for the
rezoning of their properties from residential to commercial.
Councilmen present were :J. R. Reiter, H. A. Scott, R.'C. Carlson
Absent: E. B. Hopkins, E.E. Williamson.'
Mr. Reiter called the meeting to order .• Mr. Carlson stated the purpose
of the.meeting and ask if anyone presernt'had any objections.
Mr. & Mrs. Hille stated their objections.
Mr. Zvorykin stated his objections.
Mrs. Norman stated her objections.
Mr. Reams then stated that he would change his request and request e
the property on which his Kennel is located to be rezoned.
Description of property as follows::
Beginning at a point 189.74 feet West of the Southeast corner of the
SWt of the NE 4 of Section 31, Township 20 South, Range 30 East,
Seminole County, Florida, run Nobth15 deg.53 min. West. 470.85 feet,
run thence South 85 deg. 46 min.West 201.10 feet, thence South 71 deg.
09 min. West 436.18 ft. to the Easterly right of way line of the Long-
wood - Markham rd. run thence in a Southeasterly direction along said
Easterly right of way line a distance of 326.23 ft. to the intersection,
of said Easterly right og way line and the Sotith line of the SW 4 of
the NE 4'of Section 31. Township 20'South Range 30 East, run then East
608.9 ft. to the point of beginning.
There were no objections to the above said property being rezoned
from residental to commercial.
The council voted to take the matter under consideration and descide
at the next meeting.
Mr. & Mrs Larry Jones'stated their reasons for requesting the
rezoning of their property.Mr..Earl Showers stated that he had no
objections to the property being used as it now stands, but did not
want it rezoned. Mr. Litke stated his objections.
Mr. Jones dropped the request for the rezoning of his property
Mr. Reiter adjourned the meeting.
Zoning board meeting July 6, 1959
The council met as the board•July 6, at 8:00 P. M.
Present: J. R. Reiter; H. A. Scott, R. C. Carlson
Absent: E. B. Hopkins, E. E. Williamsom.
The purpose of the meeting was to consider the rezoning of Mr. & Mrs.
J. C. Reams property.
Motion by Mr. Scott seconded by Mr. Carlson to change the zoning of
the property on which the Kennel is located from residential to
commercial.
Roll Call taken and voting as follows:
H. A. Scott - Yes
R. C. Carlson - Yes
J. R. Reiter - Yes.
Motion carried •
