Present: Amy Goodblatt, Special Magistrate Also Present: Gayle Owens, City Attorney Tim Cooper, Code Enforcement Supervisor Bonnie Howington, Code Enforcement Officer Collina Gast, Code Enforcement Recording Secretary Absent: Robyn Winters, Code Enforcement Officer 1. CALL MEETING TO ORDER: Special Magistrate Goodblatt called the meeting to order at 7:03pm. 2. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES FROM THE NOVEMBER 18, 2010 HEARING: Special Magistrate Goodblatt approved the Minutes from the November 18, 2010 Code Enforcement Hearing. 3. SPECIAL MAGISTRATES'S EXPLANATION OF PROCEEDINGS: Special Magistrate Goodblatt explained the hearing process for the attendees. 4. SWEARING IN OF ALL WITNESSES: Special Magistrate Goodblatt swore in all witnesses. 5. ROLL CALL OF SCHEDULED CASES: None. 6. PUBLIC HEARINGS: A. CEH 11 -01 -805 CC, Chap. 18, Sec. 18 -121 Trash & Debris Withdrawn as SHEFFERMAN, Melissa K. Complied 112 Pineapple Court Longwood, FL 32750 7. REPORTS -CASE UPDATES: Code Enforcement Officer Howington gave the following testimony: CEB 01- 27 -11 -1 Case #08 -04 -710, 1515 Oriole Street: the Respondent was granted a reduction in fines at the November hearing however the fines were never paid & therefore the lien has reverted back to the full amount. Case #10 -09 -797, 334 Brentwood Club Cove: the property is now in compliance however a lien has been recorded in the amount of $8,000.00. Case #10 -09 -798, 383 Brentwood Club Cove: the property is in compliance and the fines have been paid. Case #10 -09 -799, 1671 Grange Circle: the property is in compliance and the Administrative Fee has been paid. Case #10 -09 -800, 217 Slade Lane: the property is now in compliance however a lien has been recorded in the amount of $2,800.00. Case #10 -09 -801, 327 S. CR 427: the case had previously been continued however the property is now in compliance and the City has withdrawn the case. 8. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: None. 9. OLD BUSINESS: None. 10. NEW BUSINESS: A. Guy Nicosia (realtor for 155 Sandalwood Way, #09 -01 -761) requested to come before the Special Magistrate to ask for a reduction in fines and administrative costs which total $42,200.00 for a Minimum Property Standards violation. He stated the property has been sold and is awaiting closing on 02/05/11. He asked that the fines be reduced to $4,200.00 and brought a check with him to pay said fines. Special Magistrate Goodblatt ruled to reduce the fines to $4,200.00 and stated she would type up a Satisfaction of Lien so that the closing could take place once the check clears. 11.
