A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF LONGWOOD, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE
SUBMISSION OF A GRANT APPLICATION TO THE
(FLORIDA DIVISION OF CUL`1'URALA FFAIRS CULTURAL
(FACILITIES PROGRAM REQUESTING $50j�0,0 00 FOR THE
REITER PARK CULTURAL AREA PROJECT, AND
FURTHER CONFIRMING THE PREVIOUS
AUTHORIZATION OF nAN AMOUNT OF $1,000a,000 FOR

PROJECT AS THE
CIT 1( 9S REQUIRED MATCHING FUNDS.
WHEREAS, the City of Longwood (City) has the opportunity to apply for funding
in the amount of $500,000 from the Cultural Facilities Program for the Reiter Park
Cultural Area Project, with the stipulation of a 2 to 1 matching funds; and
WHEREAS, funding in the amount of $1,000,000, necessary for the required
match, either has occurred within the past rive years or will be available on July 1, 2013.
NOW THEREFORE, DF IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
Section I: The Whereas' clauses are incorporated herein as the findings of the
City Commission of the City of Longwood, Florida.
Section II: Within the past five years, through -this 2011-2012 fiscal year's budget
and the previous fiscal years' budgets, the City Commission of the City of Longwood,
Florida, has authorized an expenditure of $1,000,000 or more for the Reiter Park
Cultural Area Project and such meets the required matching funds for a grant
application to the Florida Division of Cultural Affairs requesting funding for the Reiter
Part, Cultural Area Project.
Section III: Conflicts. Any resolutions or policies in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.
Section IV: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
