AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LONGWOOD, FLORIDA,
ANNEXING AND AMENDING THE OFFICIAL BOUNDARIES
OF THE CITY CORPORATE LIMITS APPROXIMATELY
30,425.00 SQ. FT. (.70 ACRES) +/- FOR PARCEL NUMBER 05-
21-30-523-0000-OOAA PURSUANT TO THE REQUIREMENTS
OF CHAPTER 171, FLORIDA STATUTES; AND PROVIDING
FOR THE SUBJECT PROPERTY" TO BE SUBJECT TO
TAXATION AND REGULATION BY THE CITY EXCEPT
LAND DEVELOPMENT AND BUILDING CODES UNTIL THE
CITY'S COMPREHENSIVE PLAN :1S AMENDED PURSUANT
TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF CHAPTER 163.3184 AND
163.3187, FLORIDA STATUTES; PROVIDING FOR
CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the owner(s) of certain lands more particularly described herein below, have
voluntarily requested that the same be annexed acid incorporated into the corporate limits of
the City of Longwood, Florida.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LONGWOOD, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The lands graphically shown on the map, attached hereto, and having
Tax.Parcel I.D. #05-21-30-523-0000-OOAA (and legally described in that certain Warranty
Deed recorded on December 12, 2003 at Official Records Book 5134, Page 1046-1047), be
and the same are hereby annexed to and included within the corporate limits of the City of
Longwood, Florida.
Section 2. The Corporate limits of thy: City of Longwood, Florida, are hereby
revised to include the land described in Section 1 hereof.
Section 3. The City Commission of the City of Longwood, Florida does hereby
find that the lands described in Section 1 are corn iguous to the corporate limits of the City of
Longwood, Florida, that said lands meet the criteria established by Chapter 171, Florida
Statutes, that said lands should be annexed, and l_ereby approve the annexation.
Section 4. Upon annexation, the lands described in Section 1 shall retain the
future land use and zoning designations established by the Seminole County Zoning
Ord. No 13-2005

Ordinance/Code and Comprehensive Land Use Plan until otherwise changed or amended by
appropriate ordinance of the City of Longwood, Florida.
Section 5. Effective as provided by law, all real property lying within the
boundaries of the corporate limits of the City of Longwood, Florida, as hereby revised, shall
be assessed for payment of municipal ad valorem taxes.
Section 6. All persons who have been lawfully engaged in any occupation,
business, trade or profession within the area described in Section 1 above, upon the effective
date of this Ordinance under a valid license or permit therefore issued by Seminole County,
Florida, shall have right to continue such occupation, business, trade or profession within the
entire corporate limits of the City of Longwood, as revised, upon the securing of a valid
Business Tax Receipt from the City of Longwood, which license shall be issued upon
payment of the appropriate fee therefore.
Section 7. The City Clerk is hereby directed to file a certified copy of this
ordinance with the Office of the Secretary of the State of Florida, the Office of the Governor
of the State of Florida, the Clerk of Court of Seminole County, Property Appraiser and the
Seminole County Tax Collector, within 7 days from the effective date of the ordinance. The
City Clerk and City Staff are hereby directed to waive the $1,950 annexation fees.
Section 8 Conflicts. This Ordinance shall control over any ordinances or parts of
ordinances in conflict herewith.
Section 9 Severability. If any section or portion of a Section of this Ordinance proves to be
invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity,
force, or effect of any other Section or part of this Ordinance.
Section 10 Effective Date. This Ordinance shall become effective ten days after its passage
and adoption.
