A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF LONGWOOD, FLORIDA, SUPPORTING THE
RENAME OF PAWLINE STREET TO MANUEL A. TORO
CT.
WHEREAS, under the authority contained in Sections 336.05(l.) and 336.05(2),
]Florida Statutes, the Board of County Commissioners may name and rename streets and
roads; and,
WHEREAS, The City Commission of the City of Longwood (the "City
Commission") has deemed it expedient to rename Pawline Street to Manuel A.' Toro Ct.;
and
WHEREAS, the segment of Pawline Street to be renamed is -wholly located within
the City of Longwood: and
WHEREAS, renaming this street will help to eliminate confusion, facilitate" improved
emergency access and ability of the public to locate streets and roads within Longwood, Florida;
and
WHEREAS, this change is consistent with overall County and City plans for renaming,
naming, addressing and the 911 system,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of
Longwood, Florida as follows:
SECTION I: The City Commission supports the name change of Pawline Street to
Iv[anuel A. Toro Ct., located in the recorded Plat of "Valencourt on the Dixie Highway",
ID
Plat Book 4, Page 59; beginning at the N.W. Corner of S.W. '/a. of Section. 5, Township 21
South, Range 30 East, thence North 330 feet, thence West 330 feet to the point: of
beginning. Recorded in the Public Records of Longwood, Florida;
>ECTION 111: Conflicts. Any resolutions or policies in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.
SECTION III: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption.
