14-2023 Multi-Year Fleet Maintenance Service Contract with First Vehicle Services Inc.ORDINANCE NO. 14-2023 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LONGWOOD, FLORIDA, APPROVAL OF A MULTI -YEAR FLEET MAINTENANCE SERVICE CONTRACT WITH FIRST VEHICLE SERVICES, INC, PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS AND SEVERABILITY AND AN E=FECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of Longwood desires utilizing a Fleet Maintenance Service contract agreement for the City Fleet Maintenance Division and; WHEREAS, the Charter for the City of Longwood, Florida provides that contracts extending beyond the current fiscal year must be app,oved by Ordinance, WHEREAS, the provision of these services fir the outlined professional discipline is in the public interest to provide quality service; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LONGWOOD, FLORIDA: Section 1. The First Vehicle Services, Inc., contract streamlines the City of Longwood's Fleet Maintenance and Repair Services; Section 2. First Vehicle Services, Inc., is a service contract, and the City of Longwood utilizes this service to manage the maintenance of City of Longwood's Fleet Vehicles; Section 3. The City of Longwood through First Vehicle Services, Inc., will provide cost effectiveness, custom support, and improved performance and efficiency for the City of Longwood, Florida; Section 4. The City Commission hereby approves the multi -year contract, initial five year period, with First Vehicle Services, Inc. as attached hereto, based upon RFP No. 14-13 and authorizes its execution; Section 6. The City of Longwood contract pricing, as attached, shall be per the RFP No. 14- 13 on , 20_ and subject, following initial period, to renewal for two (2) additional twelve (12) month periods by mutual agreement of both parties; Section 6. If any Ordinance part thereof is in conflict herewith, this Ordinance shall control to the extent of the conflict; Section 7. The provisions of this Ordinance are declared to be separable and if any section, paragraph, sentence or work of this Ordinance or the application thereto any Page 1 of 2 person or circumstances is held invalid, that invalidity shall not affect other sections or words or applications of this Ordinance. If any part of this Ordinance is found to be preempted or otherwise superseded, the remainder shall nevertheless be given full force and effect to the extent permitted by the severance of such preempted or superseded part; Section 8.
