A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF LONGWOOD, FLORIDA, REGARDING AND
ESTABLISHING A FEE SCHEDULE FOR THE
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT SERVICES DEPARTMENT,
RIGHT-OF-WAY UTILIZATION, AND POLITICAL SIGNS;
REPEALING RESOLUTION 12-1323; PROVIDING FOR
RETROACTIVITY AS TO FEES FOR POLITICAL SIGNS
AND AUTHORIZING REFUNDS RELATING THERETO;
PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Longwood (the "City") has
determined that amendments to the City Fee Schedule are desirable as to fees relating
to the Community Development Services Department, right-of-way utilization, and
political signs, and
WHEREAS, the City intends that certain political sign fees be made retroactive to
May 1, 2014, and the City authorizes the disbursement of refunds for political signage
fees paid on or after May 1, 2014, in accordance herewith,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of
Longwood, Florida, as follows
SECTION I: SCHEDULE OF FEES
The following schedule of fees shall be established for Community Development
Services, right-of-way utilization, and political sign fees
(1) Right-of-way utilization All right-of-way utilization work requiring a city permit
shall be paid to the Public Works Department in accordance with the schedule
stated below -

assessed to the candidate
SECTION If: RETROACTIVITY OF FEES FOR POLITICAL SIGNS: REFUND
AUTHORIZATION.
The rates set forth in this Resolution for political signs shall be retroactive to May 1,
2014 The City is hereby authorized to issue refunds for political signage fees in excess
of the rates charged above that were paid on or after May 1, 2014 All other fees set
forth herein shall be prospective
SECTION III: CODIFICATION In accordance with the respective City of Longwood
Code of Ordinances and/or City of Longwood Development Code provisions that
authorize the fees set forth in Section I of this Resolution, Section I of this Resolution
shall be included in the relevant Appendices of the City of Longwood Code of
Ordinances and/or the City of Longwood Development Code
SECTION IV: REPEAL. Resolution No 12-1323, amending the schedule of fees for
development review as it relates to Community Development Services, is hereby
repealed and replaced by this Resolution
SECTION V: SUPERSEDE This Resolution shall supersede any previous rules,
policies, procedures, or resolutions to the extent of any conflict with this Resolution
SECTION VI: SEVERABILITY If any portion of this Resolution is finally determined by
a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void,
the balance of the Resolution shall continue in full force and effect.
SECTION VII: EFFECTIVE DATE. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
adoption
