Program 'Description
In an effort to'assist residents and businesses with increasing water cost, the City of Longwood is
creating the Water Conservation Rebate Program. While most residents and businesses will
simply appreciate_, lower water bills, the impact of reducingwater consumption ,for a significant
number of homes and businesses has far reaching environmental and financial benefits. Water
conservation reduces the demand, for water from the Floridan Aquifer and reduces the amount of
chemicals and energy needed for the production of potable water. It is easy to see the ripple
effect created by making ` simple improvements at your home' or business to reduce water
consumption.
The program provides residents and businesses a financial incentive of $50 to $150 to install
water conserving plumbing fixtures -and irrigation, controls in their, homes or businesses. The
rebate is available to any resident or business located in the City of Longwood to. reduce water
