A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF LONGWOOD, FLORIDA, AMENDING
RESOLUTION NO. 18-1477 WHICH ESTABLISHED A
STEP PAY PLAN FOR NON -UNION EMPLOYEES TO
INCLUDE PUBLIC WORKS AND LEISURE SERVICES
EMPLOYEE PAY CLASSIFICATIONS AND AMEND A
POSITION TITLE; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS,_
SEVERABILITY, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on September 17, 2018, the City Commission adopted Resolution No 18-
1477, which established a Step Pay Plan for all non -union employees, and -
WHEREAS, there is a desire to amend Resolution No 18-1477 and include Public Works
and Leisure Services employees pay classifications into the Plan, and -
WHEREAS, there is a desire to amend a position title from BTR Clerk to Economic
Development Coordinator; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission is agreeable with the amendment and has determined
that including Public Works and Leisure Services into the Plan for all Non -Union Employees is
appropriate and the position title change are in the best interest of the City
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of
Longwood, Florida, as follows.
SECTION I. The Step Pay Plan for Non -Union Employees inclusive of Public Works and
Leisure Services Employees that is attached hereto as Exhibit "A" is hereby approved by the City
Commission. The City Commission hereby approves a name change for the position of "BTR
Clerk" to "Economic Development Coordinator," and such is reflected in Exhibit "A."
SECTION II. Conflicts. All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict with any of the
provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. In accordance with Ordinance No. 18-2145
Step Pay Plans may be adopted or amended by resolution, thus any previously approved Step Pay
Plans that are inconsistent with the Step Pay Plan approved by this Resolution are hereby repealed
and replaced by the Step Pay Plan approved herein.
SECTION III. Severability. If any section or portion of a section of this Resolution proves
to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity,
force, or effect of any other section or part of this Resolution.
SECTION IV Effective Date. This Resolution shall take effect upon final passage and
adoption.
