A. The Senior Matinee will be held on Wednesday, December 20,
2023, from 1:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. at the Longwood
Community Building, 200 West Warren Avenue. This month’s
feature is Jules.
B. The City of Longwood will host a “Food Truck Battle and Concert
in the Park” on Saturday, January 13, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until
9:00 p.m. at Reiter Park. The concert will begin at 7:00 p.m. and
the band is TBD.
C. The “Downtown Longwood Cruise-In” Car Show will be held on
Saturday, January 13, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the
Historic District of Longwood located off of Church Avenue.
5. PROCLAMATIONS / RECOGNITIONS
A. Recognition of the Light Up Longwood Contest Winners.
B. Chief Peters to recognize Battalion Chief Paul Ross on his
retirement after 30 years with the City.
C. District #3 Nomination of Business Person of the Month Award
for January 2024 (Presentation scheduled for January 15, 2024).
D. Nomination of the Beautification Award (Presentation scheduled
for January 15, 2024).

E. Nomination and selection of the recipient of the Martin Luther
King, Jr. Good Citizenship Award (Presentation scheduled for
January 15, 2024).

A. Approve the Minutes of the November 20, 2023 Regular
Meeting.
B. Approve the Monthly Expenditures for November 2023.
C. Approve the Monthly Financial Report for October 2023.
D. Approve an increase in the amount of $100,000 to the Ferguson
Enterprises, LLC., Purchase Order No. 24-00080 for water and
sewer-related supplies.
E. Approve the Final Plat of Phase IV at the Longwood Memorial
Gardens to establish new cemetery plots.
F. Approve a maximum donation of 360 hours of vacation and/or
sick leave hours from Public Works personnel to Public Works
Maintenance Specialist II Juan Abreu.
11. PUBLIC HEARINGS
A. Read by title only and adopt Resolution No. 23-1653,
establishing the City’s Notice of Intent to use the Uniform
Method for collecting Non-Ad Valorem Assessments in 2024.

Any invocation that is offered before the official start of the Commission meeting shall be the voluntary offering of a
private person, to and for the benefit of the Commission. The views or beliefs expressed by the invocation speaker have
not been previously reviewed or approved by the Commission or the city staff, and do not necessarily represent their
individual religious beliefs, nor are the views and beliefs expressed by an invocation speaker intended to suggest the
City’s allegiance to or preference for any particular religion, denomination, faith, creed or belief. Persons in attendance
at the City Commission meeting are invited to stand during the opening invocation and Pledge of Allegiance. However,
such invitation shall not be construed as a demand, order, or any other type of command. No person in attendance at
the meeting shall be required to participate in any opening invocation that is offered. You may exit the City Commission
Chambers and return upon completion of the opening invocation if you do not wish to participate in or witness the
opening invocation.
This is a public meeting, and the public is invited to attend. The agenda is subject to change. Persons can obtain an
