The “Downtown Longwood Cruise-In” Car Show will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Historic District of Longwood located off of Church Avenue. B. Mass Mutual Financial Group will be the Sponsor of the May 14, 2016 “Downtown Longwood Cruise-In” Car Show and will host a seminar from 3:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. in the Longwood Commission Chambers on early retirement, how to enroll in Medicare, and more will be discussed. Refreshments will be provided. 5. PROCLAMATIONS / RECOGNITIONS A. District #3 Presentation of the Business Person of the Month Award for May 2016 to Collette’s Clean Eats. B. Approval of a purchase order in the amount of $24,210.00 to Hydra Service Inc., for the purchase of an additional ABS submersible sewage pump and control panel enclosure for the Wildmere Lift Station. E. Approval of the Contract with the Longwood Professional Fire Fighters Local, 3163 for the period of October 1, 2015 to September 30, 2018. F. Approval of a contractual agreement with SS Solutions LLC, to provide Florida Retirement System (FRS) DROP participant contract employee services for key positions as needed. G. Approve the final drafts of the 2016 evaluations for the appointed positions of City Manager, City Clerk and City Attorney. 11. PUBLIC HEARINGS A. City Commission to hear a public request for Special Exception (SP 05-15), from Mr. Hattaway to approve a site plan proposal for a vehicle sales facility at 796 State Road 434. B. Read by title only, set May 16, 2016 as the second public hearing date and approve the first reading of Ordinance No. 16-2088, amending the Longwood Development Code by creating an Opportunity Node Overlay District. CC 05-02-16/3 12. REGULAR BUSINESS A. Consider waiving the attendant fee at the Longwood Community Building for a Habitat for Humanity Event on May 17, 2017. B. Approval for City Staff to collaborate with The Hourglass Brewery to host The Central Florida Smash Beer Festival at Reiter Park on July 30, 2016. C. However, such invitation shall not be construed as a demand, order, or any other type of command. No person in attendance at the meeting shall be required to participate in any opening invocation that is offered. You may exit the City Commission Chambers and return upon completion of the opening invocation if you do not wish to participate in or witness the opening invocation.
