A. The City of Longwood is honored to host the Vietnam
Traveling Wall from Wednesday, June 8 through Sunday,
June 12, 2016 at Reiter Park, 311 West Warren Avenue. This
traveling memorial stands as a reminder of the great sacrifices
made during the Vietnam War. The Wall will be open to
visitors 24 hours a day.
B. The “Downtown Longwood Cruise-In” Car Show will be held
on Saturday, June 11, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in
the Historic District of Longwood located off of Church
Avenue.
C. Senior Matinee will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 from
1:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m., Longwood City Hall (Chambers), 175
West Warren Avenue. This month’s feature is The Finest
Hours.
D. The 9th Annual Father and Daughter Dance will be held on
Wednesday, June 15, 2016 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.,
Longwood Community Building, 200 West Warren Avenue.
The cost is $5.00 per couple and $2.50 for each additional
person.
E. City of Longwood will hold a Community Yard Sale on
Saturday, June 18, 2016 from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.,
Longwood Elementary School, 840 Orange Avenue.
Participants are permitted a 11 ft. x 9 ft. space, the cost is
$10.00 for individuals and $15.00 for businesses, there is also
chair rentals for $5.00.

giving a presentation on the Annual Audit for the Fiscal Year
Ended September 30, 2015.

A. Approve Minutes of the May 16, 2016 Regular Meeting.
B. Approve the Monthly Expenditures for May 2016.
C. Approve the proposed reclassification from Senior
Administrative Assistant/Records Clerk to Executive Assistant
to City Clerk / City Manager.
D. Approve a donation in the amount of $1,500 to Woodlands
Elementary School from the State Law Enforcement
Confiscation Fund in support of their Reading and Math
Improvement Project.
E. Approval of Resolution No. 16-1403; Florida Department of
Transportation (FDOT) State Highway Lighting, Maintenance
and Compensation Agreement.
F. Acceptance of a Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation
Grant valued at $25,900 with no local match required.
G. Approve a purchase order in the amount of $32,081.50 to
Bartow Ford for the purchase of a 2016 Ford Interceptor
AWD Utility Vehicle.
H. Approve a purchase order in the amount of $62,532.32 to
Barnes, Ferland and Associates, Inc. (BFA) for professional
engineering services relating to the South Longwood Septic
Tank Abatement State Revolving Fund (SRF) Loan Assistance.

I. Approval for issuance of a contract to Blue Ox Enterprises,
LLC for construction of sanitary sewer on and near the
Peninsula at Island Lake Sewer System.
J. Acceptance of the Annual Audit for the Fiscal Year Ended
September 30, 2015.
K. Approve the proposed reclassification of Payroll Clerk to
Payroll/HR Coordinator and proposed increase in salary.

12. REGULAR BUSINESS
A. Schedule Tuesday, September 6, 2016 and Monday,
September 19, 2016 as regular City Commission Meeting dates
and public hearing dates for the adoption of the Fiscal Year
2016/2017 Budget.
B. City Commission to designate one Member of the City
Commission to be a voting delegate for the City of Longwood
on August 18-20, 2016 at the Florida League of Cities 90th
Annual Conference in Hollywood.
C. City Commission to hear a Cure Plan Waiver request from
Ms. Delaine Kansol of DK Fitness located at 1120 West State
Road 434.
D. City Commission to approve the Reiter Park Proposal and
expenditures in the amount of $401,004 to Dix Hite & Partners.
E. Read by title only and adopt Resolution No. 16-1404; Florida
Department of Transportation (FDOT) Joint Participation
Agreement for Installation of Landscaping Improvements on
State Road 434 from West of State Road 400/Interstate 4 to
Rangeline Road – FDOT’s Financial Management Number
(FM#) 438987-1-58-01.
F. Approve a purchase order in the amount of $60,937 to Cribb
Philbeck Weaver Group for landscape design relating to the
retention pond at Interstate 4 and State Road 434.
G. Approve an Energy Services Contract with Schneider Electric.
H. City Commission to consider current standards and direct staff
on off-site temporary signage for new subdivisions.

meeting are invited to stand during the opening invocation and Pledge of Allegian ce. However, such invitation shall
not be construed as a demand, order, or any other type of command. No person in attendance at the meeting shall be
required to participate in any opening invocation that is offered. You may exit the City Commission Chambers and
return upon completion of the opening invocation if you do not wish to participate in or witness the opening invocation.
