The City of Longwood will host the 4th annual “Be a HERO
Back to School Resource Fair” on Saturday, August 6, 2016
from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Longwood Elementary
School, 800 Orange Avenue.
B. The “Downtown Longwood Cruise-In” Car Show will be held
on Saturday, August 13, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in
the Historic District of Longwood located off of Church
Avenue.
5. PROCLAMATIONS / RECOGNITIONS
A. Presentation of the Beautification Award to Brentwood Club
Subdivision located off of Lake Emma Road in Longwood.
B. Nominations for the Annual Key to the City Award.

Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) County Program
Funding in the amount of $15,501.

A. Read by title only, set August 15, 2016 as the second public
hearing date and approve the first reading of Ordinance No.
16-2091, amending the Longwood City Code regulating the
maintenance and operation regulations regarding Mobile
Home Parks and Mobile Homes.
B. Read by title only, set August 15, 2016 as the second public
hearing date and approve the first reading of Ordinance No.
16-2092, which proposes a Temporary Backyard Chicken Pilot
Program.
C. Read by title only, set August 15, 2016 as the second public
hearing date and approve the first reading of Ordinance No.
16-2093, amending the Longwood Development Code to allow
for temporary off-site signage for residential subdivisions.
12. REGULAR BUSINESS
A. Read by title only, set August 15, 2016 as the public hearing
date and approve the first reading of Ordinance No. 15-2076,
which proposes approval of the Small Scale Comprehensive
Plan Amendment (SPA 03-15) changing the Future Land Use
Designation to Medium Density Residential (MDR) and Zoning
Designation to Medium Density Residential-15 (MDR-15).

Any invocation that is offered before the official start of the Commission meeting shall be the voluntary offering of a
private person, to and for the benefit of the Commission. The views or beliefs expressed by the in vocation speaker
have not been previously reviewed or approved by the Commission or the city staff, and the City is not allowed by law
to endorse the religious beliefs or views of this, or any other speaker. Persons in attendance at the City Commission
meeting are invited to stand during the opening invocation and Pledge of Allegiance. However, such invitation shall
not be construed as a demand, order, or any other type of command. No person in attendance at the meeting shall be
required to participate in any opening invocation that is offered. You may exit the City Commission Chambers and
return upon completion of the opening invocation if you do not wish to participate in or witness the opening invocation.
