A. Senior Matinee will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2016
from 1:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m., Longwood City Hall
(Chambers), 175 West Warren Avenue. This month’s feature
is Free State of Jones.
B. A Halloween Event will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2016
from 3:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m., at Reiter Park, 311 West
Warren Avenue. There will be a children’s costume contest,
free candy for children, bounce houses, games, food vendors
and more.
5. PROCLAMATIONS / RECOGNITIONS
A. District #1 Nomination of the Business Person of the Month
Award for November 2016.
B. The City of Longwood to recognize all of the volunteers,
support staff, and sponsors who donated their time and money
to the Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall.

A. District #4 Nomination to the Land Planning Agency.

10. CONSENT AGENDA
A. Approve Minutes of the October 3, 2016 Regular Meeting.
B. Approve the Monthly Expenditures for September 2016.
C. Approve the Monthly Financial Report for September 2016.
D. Approval of a Class A Special Event permit from the Central
Florida Society for Historic Preservation (CFSHP) for the 40th
Annual CFSHP’s Arts and Crafts Festival to be held on the
weekend of November 19th and 20th, 2016.
E. Approval of a proposal in the amount of $166,000 to Kimley-
Horn and Associates for necessary design adjustments for the
Ronald Reagan Boulevard Context Sensitive Project and
authorize the City Manager to issue a Purchase Order.
11. PUBLIC HEARINGS
A. Read by title only, set November 7, 2016 as the second public
hearing date and approve the first reading of Ordinance No.
16-2094, which allows fast food restaurants with drive-thrus
directly adjacent to the intersection of Ronald Reagan
Boulevard and State Road 434.
B. Read by title only and adopt Ordinance No. 16-2100, annexing
and amending the corporate limits of the City of Longwood to
fulfill an application for annexation by Dr. Singh.
12. REGULAR BUSINESS
A. Consider waiving or reducing the rental fees at the Longwood
Community Building for Jason Culver, an employee of the City
of Longwood.
B. Authorize staff to develop and issue a Request for Proposal
(RFP) for a Real Estate Consultant.
C. Approval of a Cost-Share Agreement between the St. Johns
River Water Management District and the City of Longwood
for the Island Lake Septic Tank Abatement Project.
D. Read by title only, set November 7, 2016 as the public hearing
date and approve the first reading of Ordinance No. 16-2102,
annexing and amending the corporate limits of the City of
Longwood to fulfill an application for annexation for a
property located on Nicole Lane.

to endorse the religious beliefs or views of this, or any other speaker. Persons in attendance at the City Commission
meeting are invited to stand during the opening invocation and Pledge of Allegiance. However, such invitation shall
not be construed as a demand, order, or any other type of command. No person in attendance at the meeting shall be
required to participate in any opening invocation that is offered. You may exit the City Commission Chambers and
return upon completion of the opening invocation if you do not wish to participate in or witness the opening invocation.
