The City of Longwood will host the Historic Longwood Farmers & Artisans Market weekly on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., in the Historic District of Longwood located at the corner of North Ronald Reagan Boulevard and West Church Avenue. C. The “Downtown Longwood Cruise-In” Car Show will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Historic District of Longwood located off of Church Avenue. D. Santa Visits Longwood neighborhoods on Friday, December 9th, Saturday, December 10th and Sunday, December 11th from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. or however long it takes to finish each area. Routes are as follows: Friday: North of State Road 434 between U.S. Highway 17-92 and Ronald Reagan Boulevard Saturday: North of State Road 434, West of Ronald Reagan Boulevard Sunday: South of State Road 434, East of Ronald Reagan Boulevard to U.S. Highway 17-92 5. Approve a purchase order in the amount of $1,020,000 to Waste Pro for solid waste and recycling services through September 30, 2017. E. Approve the 2017-2021 Law Enforcement Inter-local Voluntary Cooperation Operational Assistance Combined Mutual Aid Agreement. F. Approve the Combined Operational Assistance and Voluntary Cooperation Mutual Aid Agreement for Joint Traffic Operations 2017 with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office. G. Approve a purchase order in the amount of $31,000 to Bennett Fire Products Company Inc., to provide safety Turn-Out Gear. H. Approve an Interlocal Agreement with Seminole County for the Jurisdictional Road Transfer of Powell Street to the City of Longwood. I. Approve the 2017-2021 Law Enforcement Inter-local Voluntary Cooperation Operational Assistance Combined Mutual Aid City/County Canine Unit Agreement. J. Approve a donation in the amount of $2,295 to Woodlands Elementary from the State Law Enforcement Confiscation Fund in support of their crime prevention educational projects. Approve the purchase of five (5) police patrol vehicles in the amount of $177,376.45 and five (5) in -vehicle digital camera systems in the amount of $17,475 using Federal Equitable Sharing Program funds. L. Approve a purchase order in the amount of $45,000 to Advanced Data Processing, Inc. a subsidiary of Intermedix for ambulance transport billing and related professional services. M. Approval of Contract Modification with the International Union of Operating Engineers Union, Local 673. 11. PUBLIC HEARINGS A. Read by title only and adopt Resolution No. 16-1414, establishing the City’s Notice of Intent to use the Uniform Method for Collecting Non-Ad Valorem Assessments in 2017. 12. REGULAR BUSINESS A. Read by title only, set December 19, 2016 as the public hearing date and approve the first reading of Ordinance No. 16-2101, a Small Scale Comprehensive Plan Amendment (SPA 01-16) for property on North Ronald Reagan Boulevard. B. Read by title only, set December 19, 2016 as the public hearing date and approve the first reading of Ordinance No. 16-2103, a Small Scale Comprehensive Plan Amendment (SPA 02-16) for property adjacent to 655 Cambridge Court. C. Read by title only, set December 19, 2016 as the public hearing date and approve the first reading of Ordinance No. 16-2105, regarding the annexation (ANX 03-16) of property on Baymeadow Road and Ronald Reagan Boulevard. D. Read by title only and adopt Resolution No. 16-1415, regarding the new City Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan. E. Read by title only and adopt Resolution No. 16-1416, which implores the Florida Legislature to consider the impacts of any modifications to the workers’ compensation system on local governments. F. Read by title only and adopt Resolution No. 16-1417 authorizing an AARP (American Association of Retired Persons) Age Friendly Communities application. 13. Persons in attendance at the City Commission meeting are invited to stand during the opening invocation and Pledge of Allegiance. However, such invitation shall not be construed as a demand, order, or any other type of command. No person in attendance at the meeting shall be required to participate in any opening invocation that is offered. You may exit the City Commission Chambers and return upon completion of the opening invocation if you do not wish to participate in or witness the opening invocation.
