A. The “Downtown Longwood Cruise-In” Car Show will be held
on Saturday, May 9, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the
Historic District of Longwood located off of Church Avenue.

A. District #2 Nomination of the Business Person of the Month
Award for May 2015.
B. Proclaiming the month of May 2015 as “Children’s Mental
Health Awareness Month” and May 7, 2015 as “Children’s
Mental Health Awareness Day”.

A. Approve Minutes of the April 20, 2015 Regular Meeting and
April 20, 2015 Executive Session.
B. Approve the Monthly Expenditures for April 2015.

C. Approve a donation in the amount of $1,500 to Woodlands
Elementary School from the State Confiscation Fund in
support of their Reading and Math Improvement Project.
D. Approve a donation in the amount of $750 to Lyman High
School from the State Confiscation Fund in support of their
“Project Grad” to provide a safe, crime-free alternative to
students during graduation.
E. Approve a purchase order in the amount of $23,909 to Bartow
Ford for the purchase of a fully-equipped 2015 Ford Police
Interceptor Vehicle.
F. Approval of Solicitation Award for Skylark Subdivision
Water & Drainage Improvements–Phase II and Issuance of
a Purchase Order in the amount of $741,167.61 to Sun Road
Inc.
11. PUBLIC HEARINGS
A. Read by title only and adopt Ordinance No. 15-2059, which
proposes approval of a Small Scale Comprehensive Plan
Amendment (SPA 02-15) for 339 East Orange Avenue.
B. City Commission to hear a public request for Special
Exception (SPE 04-15), from Cheryl Bryant, owner of Wild
Hare Kitchen and Garden Emporium, requesting an increase
in the square footage for a proposed wall sign from a
maximum allowable of 137 SF to 230 SF as per Heritage
Village Urban Code 12.5.7.
12. REGULAR BUSINESS
A. City Commission to hear an Extension Request for Temporary
Use Permit, TUP 33-14 waiver request for Eagles Nest Church
previously approved on November 17, 2014.
B. Discussion on a possible contract with Lyman High School for
the use of their pool during the summer months for Longwood
Residents.
C. Consider waiving or reducing the rental fees at the Longwood
Community Building for the State Attorney’s Office.
D. Consider waiving or reducing the rental fees at the Longwood
Community Building for Seminole County Schools.

have not been previously reviewed or approved by the Commission or the city staff, and the City is not allowed by law
to endorse the religious beliefs or views of this, or any other speaker. Persons in attendance at the City Commission
meeting are invited to stand during the opening invocation and Pledge of Allegiance. However, such invitation shall
not be construed as a demand, order, or any other type of command. No person in attendance at the meeting shall be
required to participate in any opening invocation that is offered. You may exit the City Commission Chambers and
return upon completion of the opening invocation if you do not wish to participate in or witness the opening invocation.
