Senior Matinee will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 from 1:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m., Longwood Community Building, 200 West Warren Avenue. This month’s feature is “American Sniper”. B. The 8th Annual Father and Daughter Dance will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Longwood Community Building, 200 West Warren Avenue. The cost is $5.00 per couple and $2.50 for each additional person. C. The “Downtown Longwood Cruise-In” Car Show will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Historic District of Longwood located off of Church Avenue. D. Senior Matinee will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 from 1:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m., Longwood Community Building, 200 West Warren Avenue. This month’s feature is “While We’re Young”. 5. PROCLAMATIONS / RECOGNITIONS A. District #3 Nomination of the Business Person of the Month Award for July 2015. B. Proclaiming the City of Longwood General Election – November 3, 2015. C. Approve the Monthly Financial Report for May 2015. D. Approve a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Grant and authorize the Mayor to execute all required documents. 11. PUBLIC HEARINGS A. Read by title only and adopt Ordinance No. 15-2062, which amends Chapter 50, Article III, Section 50-62 of the Longwood City Code to update and allow the City Manager to waive or reduce fees associated with the Longwood Community Building. 12. REGULAR BUSINESS A. Approve a request by the Mayor and Commissioners to attend the Annual Florida League of Cities Conference in Orlando. B. City Commission to designate one Member of the City Commission to be a voting delegate for the City of Longwood on August 13-15, 2015 at the Florida League of Cities 89th Annual Conference in Orlando. C. Read by title only, set July 20, 2015 as the public hearing date, and approve the first reading of Ordinance No. 15-2063, amending Article II, Chapter 86 (Parking, Stopping and Standing). D. Deputy Mayor Paris requests the Commission read by title only, set July 20, 2015 as the public hearing date and approve the first reading of Ordinance No. 15-2064, which proposes an amendment to the City Charter concerning Article III, Section 3.01(d) to change the term of City Commission office from CC 06-15-15/3 three years to four years and amending such provision to establish term limits. E. City Commission review and approval of the final revised Traffic Signal Maintenance and Compensation Agreement between the Florida Department of Transportation and the City of Longwood. F. City Commission to hear a request from Ms. Angela Walker to mitigate a Code Enforcement Lien in the amount of $17,200 on the property located at 790 Wildmere Avenue. 13. CITY MANAGER’S REPORT 14. Persons in attendance at the City Commission meeting are invited to stand during the opening invocation and Pledge of Allegiance. However, such invitation shall not be construed as a demand, order, or any other type of command. No person in attendance at the meeting shall be required to participate in any opening invocation that is offered. You may exit the City Commission Chambers and return upon completion of the opening invocation if you do not wish to pa rticipate in or witness the opening invocation.
