Federation of Families of Central Florida in partnership with The City of Longwood will host the 3rd annual “Be a HERO Back to School Resource Fair” on Saturday, August 8, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Longwood Elementary School, 800 Orange Avenue. B. The “Downtown Longwood Cruise-In” Car Show will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Historic District of Longwood located off of Church Avenue. 5. PROCLAMATIONS / RECOGNITIONS A. Nominations for the Annual Key to the City Award. 6. BOARD APPOINTMENTS A. District #4 (At Large) Nomination to the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board. 7. Approve Minutes of the July 20, 2015 Regular Meeting. B. Approve the Monthly Expenditures for July 2015. CC 08-03-15/2 C. Approve the Mayor to sign the Renewal Application for Eligibility to Receive Federal Surplus Property through the Department of Management Services of Federal Property Assistance. D. Approve a change order in the amount of $29,830 to purchase order #015351 for Pegasus Construction Engineering for the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Cycle III Year III Annual Report (January 1, 2014 to December 31, 2014). 11. PUBLIC HEARINGS A. Read by title only and adopt Ordinance No. 15-2066, establishing a temporary moratorium until January 4, 2016 on the acceptance, processing and consideration of applications for development orders and building permits for properties adjacent to U.S. Highway 17/92. B. Read by title only, set August 17, 2015 as the public hearing date, and approve the first reading of Ordinance No. 15-2065, a Longwood Development Code Amendment to enhance standards related to a complete streets policy, and to streamline, clarify and update development standards and processes. 12. REGULAR BUSINESS A. Read by title only and adopt Resolution No. 15-1378 implementing a water conservation rebate program. B. City Commission approval of the proposed restructuring of the Police Department. C. City Commission approval of the proposed reclassification of one Planner Position to Senior Planner. 13. Persons in attendance at the City Commission meeting are invited to stand during the opening invocation and Pledge of Allegiance. However, such invitation shall not be construed as a demand, order, or any other type of command. No person in attendance at the meeting shall be required to participate in any opening invocation that is offered. You may exit the City Commission Chambers and return upon completion of the opening invocation if you do not wish to participate in or witness the opening invocation.
