A. Read by title only, set September 21, 2015 as the public hearing
date, and approve the first reading of Ordinance No. 15-2068,
which fixes the tentative rate of ad valorem taxation for the
fiscal year commencing October 1, 2015 and ending September
30, 2016.
B. Read by title only, set September 21, 2015 as the public hearing
date, and approve the first reading of Ordinance No. 15-2069,
which adopts tentative revenues, expenditures and fund
balances for the City’s fiscal year budget commencing October
1, 2015 and ending September 30, 2016.
4. COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENTS
A. The “Downtown Longwood Cruise-In” Car Show will be held
on Saturday, September 12, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00
p.m. in the Historic District of Longwood located off of Church
Avenue.
B. Senior Matinee will be held on Wednesday, September 16,
2015 from 1:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m., Longwood Community
Building, 200 West Warren Avenue. This month’s feature is
“The Age of Adeline”.

A. Approve Minutes of the August 17, 2015 Regular Meeting.
B. Approve the Monthly Expenditures for August 2015.
C. Approve a request for maintenance and disposal of
construction debris located at Air-Vac Station, 915 Longdale
Avenue.
D. Approval of an increase to purchase order #015628 in the
amount of $10,040 to Helping Hand Lawn Care, Inc. for
landscape maintenance work as well as estimated future work
on the assessed properties for Fiscal Year 2014/2015.
E. Approval of an increase to purchase order #015629 in the
amount of $4,831 to Helping Hand Lawn Care, Inc. for
mowing services as well as estimated future work on City
property for Fiscal Year 2014/2015.
11. PUBLIC HEARINGS
C. Read by title only and adopt Ordinance No. 15-2067, which
proposes an amendment to the Special Service Fees.
D. Read by title only and adopt Resolution No. 15-1382, which
confirms the annual non-ad valorem rolls for various
wastewater, road and neighborhood beautification
assessments.
E. City Commission to hear a public request and consider a
Historic District Demolition Application (#HD01-15) from
Oakwood Construction and Development to demolish a
“Contributing” Structure as Defined by the Longwood
Historic District Codebook at 116 West Bay Avenue.
12. REGULAR BUSINESS
A. Read by title only, set September 21, 2015 as the public hearing
date, and approve the first reading of Ordinance No. 15-2070,
approving the extension of the Non-Exclusive Franchises for
the Collection of Commercial Solid Waste and/or Recovered
Materials for an additional twelve (12) months.

B. Read by title only and adopt Resolution No. 15-1384, adopting
Title VI/Non-Discrimination Policy and Plan which is required
for federal fund recipients.
C. Approval of a Wholesale Wastewater, Interconnect and Land
Purchase Agreement with the Florida Government Utility
Authority (FGUA).
D. Read by title only, set September 21, 2015 as the public hearing
date and approve the first reading of Ordinance No. 15-2072,
which proposes an amendment to the City Charter concerning
Article III, Section 3.01(d) to change the term of City
Commission office from three years to four years and
amending such provision to establish term limits.

meeting are invited to stand during the opening invocation and Pledge of Allegiance. However, such invitation shall
not be construed as a demand, order, or any other type of command. No person in attendance at the meeting shall be
required to participate in any opening invocation that is offered. You may exit the City Commission Chambers and
return upon completion of the opening invocation if you do not wish to participate in or witness the opening invocation.
