The City of Longwood will host the third annual “Chili Cook- Off” in conjunction with the monthly car show on Saturday, November 14, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. in the Historic District of Longwood located off of Church Avenue. A taster’s kit can be purchased in advance for $5.00 or on the day of the show for $7.00. B. The “Downtown Longwood Cruise-In” Car Show will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Historic District of Longwood located off of Church Avenue. 5. PROCLAMATIONS / RECOGNITIONS A. District #5 Presentation of the Business Person of the Month Award for November 2015 to Ms. Phyllis Ayoob, Executive Director of Spay N Save Animal Clinic located at 988 North Ronald Reagan Boulevard. B. Presentation of the Beautification Award to Shadow Hill Subdivision, located on EE Williamson Road. 6. BOARD APPOINTMENTS A. City Manager recommends, in accordance with the requirements of Chapters 175 and 185, Florida Statues, that the City Commission appoint Greg Vanatta, as the fifth Member to the Board of Trustees for the Police Officers’ and Firefighters’ Pension Plan. 7. Approve an addendum for the extension of the Meter Reading Services Agreement and issuance of a purchase order in the amount of $43,000 to U.S. Water Services Corporation. D. Approve a purchase order in the amount of $1,020,000 to Waste Pro for the Solid Waste and Recycling Services through September 30, 2016. E. Approve a purchase order in the amount of $21,521.95 to Alan Jay Fleet Sales for the purchase of a 2016 Ford F250 as a replacement vehicle in the Public Works Utilities Division. 11. PUBLIC HEARINGS 12. REGULAR BUSINESS A. Commission discussion and approval of proposed performance evaluations for the appointed positions of City Manager, City Clerk and City Attorney. B. Approval of an Interlocal Agreement with Seminole County for Landscaping State Road 434 from I-4 to Rangeline Road. C. Approval of a Purchase Order to Cribb Philbeck Weaver Group in the amount of $36,360 for State Road 434 Median Landscape Design from I-4 to Rangeline Road. 13. CITY MANAGER’S REPORT 14. Persons in attendance at the City Commission meeting are invited to stand during the opening invocation and Pledge of Allegiance. However, such invitation shall not be construed as a demand, order, or any other type of command. No person in attendance at the meeting shall be required to participate in any opening invocation that is offered. You may exit the City Commission Chambers and return upon completion of the opening invocation if you do not wish to part icipate in or witness the opening invocation.
