A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
LONGWOOD, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE BUDGET OF THE CITY OF
LONGWOOD FOR FISCAL YEAR 2026 BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 2025
AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2026; AND PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Longwood, Florida, has determined
that the Budget for Fiscal Year 2025/2026 should be amended; and
WHEREAS,the City has entered into agreements or issued purchase orders for the;
provision of goods and services, and
WHEREAS, Florida Statutes, Section 166.241(4) requires the governing body
amend the budget in the same manner as the original budget is adopted; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission adopted the final budget for Fiscal Year
2025/2026 through Ordinance No. 25-2272 on September 15, 2025.
WHEREAS, a budget amendment may be adopted by resolution pursuant to
Section 6.06, City Charter and Ordinance No. 25-2272.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE ADOPTED IT AND RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF LONGWOOD, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: Budget Amendment. The City Commission of the City of Longwood
hereby amends the Fiscal Year 2025/2026 budget appropriations for the General Fund, ARPA
Fund, Parks and Events Fund, and Recreation Impact Fees Fund, as depicted in Exhibit "A" which
is hereby attached and made part of this Resolution by reference thereto.
SECTION 2: Severability. If any section, sentence, phrase, word, or portion of
this Resolution is determined to be invalid, unlawful or unconstitutional, said determination shall
not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force or effect of any other section, sentence,

phrase, word, or portion of this Resolution not otherwise determined to be invalid, unlawful, or
unconstitutional.
SECTION 3: Effective Date. This Resolution shall take effect upon final passage
and adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 15th DAY OF JUNE 2026.
